The New Elizabeth Weddings

Welcome all to my blog, starting afresh and re-introducing myself and the fabulous business that I am in. I am a proud and passionate weddings and events stylist, which means I provide a bespoke service to all my clients, ensuring a swift and enjoyable process of planning your wedding or event, bringing all your dreams to life and enabling you to enjoy the end result.Navy blue and Gold wedding, styling, decor and design by Elizabeth WeddingsLet’s start first of all with a little information about me. A bespoke service can only really work if it’s a two-way relationship… meaning we need to get to know each other first. Taking it back to the beginning, I found a love for creativity and design when studying art and textiles in school, followed by a degree in textile design from Loughborough university. From here I became a freelance fashion designer, selling swatches around the world to big fashion house destinations, such as New York, Italy, Paris and Japan. Most notably, and proudly for me, this included selling to Vera Wang. I also enjoyed many memorable placements within fashion and home design, sparking my love for the industries and getting to showcase my creativity each and every day.Matt and Liz - Low Res - 058Candelabras, fairy lights and lanterns at KWH- Styling by Elizabeth WeddingsAll this has now led me into a job and career that I simply adore, allowing me to be creative, whilst also helping so many couples with their weddings and of course clients with special events. However, you may still be wondering ‘what on earth actually is a wedding/ events stylist’? If so, let me break it down for you in the form of examples of the work that I can help you with. Starting with styling packages, this can include a florist quote if you don’t already have one, hiring out items, outsourcing props, setting up and down, etc… working in the industry, I am able to find the most competitive prices for the most quality product or service for my clients, which is something I really pride myself on. I can also create handmade and beautiful stationery, coordinate suppliers to ensure a stress free set up on the day and provide any other help with design that my clients could see necessary. The list is endless, as each couple I work with is unique and the needs are always different… keeping my job very exciting. My favourite part of the job has to be pulling all the ideas together to bring to life the vision of my clients and just getting to see and admire the final result.Design and Styling by Elizabeth WeddingsIMG_5514So, now you know what it is I can offer you, let’s discuss why you should choose Elizabeth Weddings. As I said previously, my service is bespoke to each couple I work with, which enables a few things. I can offer flexible and competitive prices to suit your budget (within reason obviously); I have experience styling weddings and events of 50 to 500 guests, so don’t worry we will have it all managed for you; Not only do I work with amazing UK clients but I work with many international clients who have chosen UK for their destination wedding; every supplier I work with offers extremely high quality products or a service with competitive prices; I pride myself on understanding the importance of the detail within your big day, taking the time to ensure the smallest of details and wishes are fulfilled; I work with couples from start to finish, including taking the strain off and making sure everything is perfect on the day itself… yes you will find me arranging the tables and your special details when the day finally comes around. I absolutely love doing what I do, which I think shines through in this one testimonial from a lovely client.

We planned our wedding at Orchardleigh House in the South West of England from Bahrain. Liz was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the whole process super easy. We had our initial meeting with her and shared our ideas and from that moment on I knew we would have something absolutely breath-taking on the day, which we absolutely did. She was fantastic with emailing back and forth with me, making sure every detail was covered and suggesting beautiful additions to our ideas. Liz was also fantastic with working to our budget. I couldn’t have asked for more, I am so happy I found Liz as she made our wedding day extra special and knowing she was taking care of the decorating meant myself, bridesmaids and family could relax and enjoy the morning together. Highly recommend Liz to style your wedding.

Sally and Ian’s Wedding Reception at Racks

Can you remember our styled shoot at the Racks? Well we’ve been fortunate to style a Wedding here at the Racks last year!

As you may know Racks Bar and Kitchen is a converted wine cellar. We love the interiors of this venue, perfect for a rustic themed Wedding. We absolutely love the wood panelling and the bare brick walls in the hidden alcoves. Racks was the perfect venue for Sally and Ian’s Wedding Reception as they wanted something relaxed, cosy and informal.

Rather than having a strong theme throughout in the decor, they chose things they loved. Keeping within the rustic vibe of Racks, wicker hearts were included. Sally loved bunting, so this was strung around the reception room and entrance outside to create a relaxed and formal setting. Centrepieces were a collection of bud vases and little jam jars flowers and with a variety of mis matched tea lights holders.

My favourite part was helping them stamp their table runners with a personalised stamp which made it extra special!

The handmade pebbles made by their potter friend was a lovely final touch to the decor for the tables. These were even personalised with the couple’s initials and special messages.

If you haven’t already seen the Racks’ feature in Vow Magazine on a previous styled shoot we did there… see HERE
