Styled shoot at Kings Weston House

Kings Weston House is a Georgian grade I listed building, built between 1712-1719 and was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh (best known as the designer of Blenheim Palace).

The theme in grey, dusky pink and ivory with hints of lace compliments the colours in the house, particularly the Vanbrugh room (wedding breakfast room).

Kings Weston House Moodboard

The styling shoot at Kings Weston House took place at the beginning of August, another lovely day for a photo shoot!

The Portrait Gallery was simply decorated as the room speaks for itself, with lovely limewash chiavari chairs with dusky pink ribbon ties tied on the chairs by the aisle. Megan Lily Flowers created a lovely floral design for the registrars table. The chairs at the front by the aisle were defined with 2 floral ties with dusky pink ribbon.

The cake by Cakesmiths sat perfectly in the wallpapered Oak room in front of a gold ornate mirror. A beautiful backdrop for photos.

The Vanbrugh room was decorated with an ivory candelabra centrepiece with flowers by Megan Lily Flowers. Silver speckled tea lights and dusky pink petals scattered on the table lined with a bespoke grey runner. I designed handmade menu cards, table number and place names to match with the theme. The cake in a jar favours per setting by the Cakesmiths, these wrapped with lace. The all important finishing touch was by wrapping a pop of dusky pink coloured ribbon around each napkin.

We strung white paper lanterns up with dusky pink and grey ribbon and lace to hang in the Staircase room, and lit the grand staircase with silver lanterns with candles. These added that contrast against the dark wood.

Emma & Andrew’s Wedding at Kings Weston House

Emma and Andrew married on 23rd August at Kings Weston House, their ceremony was held in the grand staircase room and Wedding breakfast in the beautiful Vanbrugh room for 100 guests.

Loved designing bespoke mood boards and the design plan through to the set up and arrangements of flowers on the day. Emma chose a lovely rustic theme, the colours of her flowers in pinks, purples and blues really complimented the Vanbrugh room.

The chiavari chairs lining the aisle were decorated with rustic wicker hearts tied with hessian onto the back. The registrars table had jam jar flowers wrapped with twine, lace and hessian to match the wedding breakfast table displays.

The tables in Vanbrugh room were decorated with log slice centrepieces, hessian runners and a display of jam jar and blue bottled flowers wrapped with lace, hessian and twine. Log tea lights added that all important touch to the natural rustic theming. The small details with the aromatic dried lavender stems to sit within the pocket of the napkin added a natural slight purple/blue colour to tie in with the theme, this also gave a lovely scent to the room.

Karenza & Arun’s Wedding at Kings Weston House

Karenza and Arun married on 16th August and had their Wedding reception at Kings Weston House. They had a lovely tipi set up on the grounds seating 140 guests.

Centrepieces were decorated with floral displays in earthenware pots and vintage vases. Each guest had their name written on pebbles as place names. They wanted to encorporate butterflies and maps within their theme which they created on a table plan, some butterfly bunting was also placed behind the top table. Lit tea lights on the tables combined with the Tipi company providing the fairy lights and spotlights created an amazing atmosphere in the Tipi hats for the evening.

Katie & Bobby’s Wedding at Kings Weston House

Katie and Bobby married on Saturday 12 July at the lovely Kings Weston House, with a beautiful ceremony for 60 in the grand staircase hall, a blessing on the lawn and a reception for 200 in a marquee on the grounds.

Theming of the wedding was a fusion of English and Nigerian Culture with the chosen colours of Cerise pink, light yellow and coral.

The ceremony in the staircase hall was decorated with jam jar flowers hung on the ends of chairs. The staircase lined with lanterns holding candles.

The blessing was held outside which happened under a floral arch by The Rose Shed.

Tables in the marquee were all decorated with bespoke cerise table runners. This matched to one of the colour swatches Katie had chosen. Half the tables were decorated with kilner jars filled with flowers and the rest with jam jar flowers as centrepieces. Napkins were wrapped with coral ribbon closely matching to another of Katie’s chosen colours to add that pop of colour to the table. Hanging paper lanterns in bright colours added contrast against the white of the marquee, it also created that extra level of colour which complimented the low floral displays on the table.

Inside the portrait gallery a sweet table was set up for the evening in matching colours and bunting to go with the theme.

The Merrymaking Festival

Just a little pop up table at Kings Weston House for ‘The Merrymaking Festival’ The Beauty Event. Thanks Viktoria Kuti  for this lovely picture of Elizabeth Weddings table at the event.

An ivory candelabra strung with pearls looks elegant and stylish but also really compliments the high ceiling room! Love the deer heads especially in the bar area at Kings Weston House, this particular one is called Oh ‘deer’ lord. x
